  1. Kia ora Vanessa,

It is great to see that you have been practicing your maths skills this year in class. I can see from you blog that you feel that you need to work on everything in order to continue to improve your maths skills. If you would like to practice over the summer, our Summer Learning Journey team would love to help you!

The Summer Learning Journey (SLJ) programme is a free blogging programme that is open to all Year 4-8 students at Saint Pius X school. This year we have some maths questions included so that you will be able to practice your reading, writing and maths, all in one! (And it's a lot of fun!)

The topic of the SLJ programme this year is the world around us. We are learning all about this amazing country that we call home, New Zealand, and about issues related to the environment. There are 60 different activities for you to choose from this year. They can all be found on our Summer Learning Journey programme website (www.summerlearningjourney.co.nz) under the 'Weekly Activities' tab. The activities are divided into four weeks (15 activities per week). Feel free to check them out and to choose one that interests you.

To complete the activity, you can post your answer here on your blog. Our team will read your post and provide a comment. We will also give you points and come back at the end of the summer with prizes for the top bloggers at Saint Pius X school. We have some pretty cool prizes this year!

I hope that you will have time to join us on our learning journey.

See you online soon, I hope!

    Best,
    Rachel :)
